General Motors Insurance's Driver Program Terms

General Motors Insurance's Driver Program allows drivers to take advantage of certain rewards, discounts or savings, or other offers that may become available. To qualify for the Driver Program all you need to do is drive your connected GM vehicle. Based on your driving habits we will generate a driving score for you. Depending on your score, we will let you know if you may be eligible for certain rewards, discounts or other offers. If you haven’t already enrolled, you can do so here.

By enrolling in the General Motors Insurance's Driver Program (herein referred to as “Program”), you accept, expressly consent and agree to be legally bound by the terms set forth below. The terms set forth below may be amended at any time by General Motors Insurance Services Inc, and/or its affiliated companies in its sole discretion. Any such updates, modification or changes of any type shall become effective and legally binding upon you upon the posting of the same by General Motors Insurance to www.gminsurance.com/driving-program-terms.

  1. You agree that you will activate the OnStar service in your vehicle and the service will remain active throughout your participation in the Program. Your participation in the Program is completely voluntary and you may cancel your General Motors service or participation in the Program at any time. You may also reactivate your OnStar Service or reenroll in the rewards program at any time. To unenroll from the Program click the appropriate brand here: Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac.
  2. You agree that while you are enrolled in the Program, OnStar will collect vehicle data for each trip you make in your connected vehicle. OnStar reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to add or remove the types of data collected from your vehicle. Vehicle data collected may include, but is not limited to:
    • Seatbelt usage
    • Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) feature usage, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Super Cruise, and Forward Collision Mitigation.
    • How much you drive (such as mileage and trip frequency)
    • How you drive (such as speed, hard breaking, time of day, type of road, speed limit)
  3. The vehicle data collected by OnStar, the personal information you provide to OnStar, General Motors Insurance or its designees and your participation in the Program is governed by the OnStar User Terms and Privacy statement posted at www.onstar.com. We may share vehicle data and your information with our partners to facilitate providing you with the benefits of the Rewards Program.
  4. Your agreement to participate in the Program does not guarantee qualification for any rewards, discounts or savings, offers, including insurance products or discounts. If you are eligible, General Motors Insurance will notify you and provide you with specific details of the offer and any other qualification requirements.
  5. You agree that participation is not intended as an assessment of your compliance with driving laws or guidelines. You should always drive in a safe and compliant manner.
